ACI IGS

INTRODUCING ACI IGS™

For the first time, teams of up to 64 participants — mounted or dismounted, man-wearable and/or Hi-MOD™ based — can practice combat and force protection tactics, techniques and procedures in a highly realistic simulation environment.

What is ACI IGS™

ACI’s Immersive Group Simulation™ (ACI IGS™) combines the realistic effects of computer games with advanced 3D virtual reality technology. The ACI IGS™ training technology system extends the proven benefits of simulator training to the individual group and team level.

ACI IGS™ is considered a best-of-breed open architecture technology that provides a fully upgradeable and interoperable hardware and software solution for training and simulation applications. The net result is a simulation system validated as a significant advancement over existing industry solutions.

What Makes ACI IGS™ Superior?

Several key differences make ACI IGS™ exceptionally unique and a cut above the alternatives available:

What ACI IGS™ Does

Simulation At The Individual & Team Level In A Full Virtual Reality Interface

How ACI IGS™ Does It

By Leveraging Any Existing or Emerging Game Engine & Content While Still Being Fully Interoperable With Legacy Simulation Platforms (such as CCTT)

Simulation Training Problems Solved

  • Convoy Operations, IED Defeat, Dismounted Infantry, SWAT, Police, Fire & Private Security Applications
  • Realistic Training & Mission Rehearsal
  • Allows Dismounted Infantry To Join Live, Virtual And Constructive Simulation And Mission Rehearsal (E.G. Air, Ground & Sea)
  • Extends Proven Benefits Of Simulation To Groups Of Individuals

Distinctive User Features

Allows Trainees To Experience:

  • Sight, Touch, Sound, 360 Degree Movement, 3D Full Body Tracking
  • Night Vision & Binocular Devise Use.
  • Realistic Weather, Environment & Terrain
  • Real-World Weapon Characteristics (Recoil, Muzzle Flash & Noise).
  • Fully immersive virtual reality simulation
  • Face Mapping
  • State-of-the-Art AAR

How Does ACI IGS™Work?

The ACI IGS™ is a turnkey, but configurable system that is composed of the Engine Agnostic Interface™ (ACI EAI™), a Game Engine, Simulation Content (environments, assets, scenarios, etc.) and a Hardware Delivery platform. ACI either owns or controls all four components of the system.

ACI IGS™ Major Components

Although the ACI IGS™ is compatible with any game engine, ACI has licensed the Unreal Engine 3.0® from Epic Games® as its default engine today. ACI has licensed full rights to the source code for its use worldwide and can also integrate your game as well.

ACI IGS™Configuration

ACI IGS™ is currently available in three configuration options each with distinct benefits and applications. All ACI IGS™ configurations use the same ACI EAI™ thereby allowing users to tailor any combination of these hardware configurations in the same network and exercise:

Desktop Configuration (DT)

Low-cost delivery platform for applications that do not require simulation of individuals
  • Low-Cost Solution For Training & Mission Rehearsal
  • Suitable For Applications Not Requiring The Simulation Of Individuals (e.g., Gunnery Training)
Man-Wearable Configuration (MW)

Mid-cost platform for situations in which portability and deployment are especially important, featuring the ExpeditionDI® by Quantum 3D®.

  • Primary Mid-Cost Training & Mission Rehearsal Solution For Dismounted Soldiers
  • Especially Appropriate When Portability & Deployment Are Critical
  • Wireless, Immersive & Self-Contained
  • Optional Wireless Full Body Tracking Capability
  • Users Can Physically Crawl, Walk, Run, etc.
  • Physical Body Movements Are Virtually Replicated In Real Time
  • Readily Interfaces With Other Simulation Systems
  • High Compatibility With All Other ACI IGS™ Components
  • VCCT Add-on Option Available
Hybrid Mount Dismount Configuration (HiMOD™)

Increased realism, high-fidelity display and mounted capability

  • Allows User To Switch From Mounted To Dismounted Position
